Health and Safety – Care for Our People Manaakitia ā Tātou Tāngata

You may have noticed in the last E-messenger newsletter that the Church now have documents available on the Methodist Church of New Zealand website to help Care for Our People Manaakitia ā Tātou Tāngata.

Please would you let everyone know that this page is active and information is available for them to use.

The templates available so far are for  Emergency Response Plans and the Connexional Office will notify you when new material is released (which will be no more than once a month).

Health and Safety Workshop-Auckland

The InterChurch Bureau is pleased to announce that, because of demand, a further Auckland Health and Safety workshop will be held on:

Wednesday 22nd June, at the Manukau City Baptist, 9 Lambie Drive, Manukau, from  1pm – 4pm

Included in the cost for the three hour workshop will be a comprehensive workbook to take away.

It would be helpful if you would please register members from your church or parish with Elizabeth Kay ( as soon as possible.


Health and Safety Workshops

The first round of InterChurch Bureau Health and Safety workshops concluded today in Invercargill and Queenstown. There has been a fantastic response throughout the country with over 2,300 people registering and the feedback has been enthusiastic.

In response to requests for workshops outside the main centres , four more workshops have been arranged, two in the South Island and two  in the North Island as follows:


Tuesday 17 May 2016             New Life Church, 8 Leonard Street, Greymouth                                4.00 pm to 7.00 pm


Wednesday 18 May 2016       Gleniti Baptist Church, 58 Gleniti Road, Timaru                                4.00 pm to 7.00 pm


Tuesday 14 June                      St James Union parish, 411 Pollen Street, Thames                            4.00pm – 7.00pm


Wednesday 15 June                St Andrews Presbyterian Church, 176 Cobden Street, Gisborne        1.00pm – 4.00pm
